So here I am, dissecting Naoki Urasawa’s work through different lenses (Nabokov is just one), blending analysis and creative writing. I’m also a very beginner Japanese learner (N5-ish), slowly building my way closer to the original text. And yeah: I think fanfiction is a valuable form of both creative writing and analysis.
